Once every month, I have been able to help out with some Adventures staff and fellow CGAers in a morning session at a local Middle School for their FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athlete). We get to go in and spend time with the kids there and play fun games and give a message about different areas that apply to them and what the Lord says about them. The past two have been incredible in talking about how the Lord is our strong tower that we can take refuge in and then this past week we talked about the tensions of the world and being a Christian. I have truly loved being a part of this and spending these mornings with these truly incredible kids. It is awesome how we get to go in and just spend this time with them before they go to classes and create a space for them to feel seen and a safe place for them to share. I wish it was every morning I got to hang with these kids because they are so eager to learn and know more about the Lord. The Lord is doing big things in this place and I am blessed to be helping and watching the glory of the Lord shine in this school.
This is one area the Lord is walking more and more each day into discipling people and being discipled. I want to give away what is being given to me and what the Lord has taught me, along with when I see something in someone I want going up and asking for it. I want to encourage everyone in that. If you know someone or see someone that has a gift or something you want, not in an object sense, do not be afraid to go ask them how to get it and if you can learn from them. We all have a different version of Jesus in us and we can all learn something from each other.
